Today I am reading: Shift, by Jeri Smith-Ready

And so far it is pretty awesome!!!!!!!! But there's just one problem: I can't choose between Logan and Zachary. They're both so amazing!!!! I mean we have a musician who can sing and a Scottish who can roll his r's. I really can't choose. Absolutely love, love, love them both!

And then we have Aura. We have this really interesting problem that just might be a gift. Her power is so amazing!!! Love it! But we don't know the story behind it... which is what we're learning in this book. So amazing!!!!
And really kinda making me what to rip through the book to get the answers.

But anyways...
IT'S STILL A BOOK WORTH READING!

Gone, by Lisa McMann

I'm disappointed. No, I'm not. Instead, I am fuming. I am mad. I am furious, angry, worked up and just ready to say one word: why? Why, Lisa McMann, did you have to make the final book like this? I am speechless. And that's NOT a good thing. This book, I hate to say, deserves a 2.5 out of 5 stars.

I am so infuriated. First off, this book was underwhelming. And underwhelming=short. Short= a very mad Valerie. But there were no surprises!!!!!!!!!! Okay, fine, there were, but they weren't good. NO, not at all. I mean, if anything, they were cheesy. Very cheesy. I am going to put it in my sandwiches.

Then, Janie and Cabel. Cabel and Janie. I am mad at them. I mean, look at their relationship. If you dissect it, you can tell that something is wrong. That problem starts and ends in the third book. Such a terrible relationship. They're not meant to be. Still, that isn't as bad as the next thing.

Janie, what is wrong with you? I mean really, don't you know the right choice to make? It's obvious!!!!!! You were a really selfish person, and you still are, you know that???? And that choice was really dumb. Sure, you might have changed your mind, but still, you should have known better!! I am not happy with you. Grrrr... shows off some plastic fangs...

And whoa, I hate this ending. I didn't even know it was an ending. I had to flip to the next page and just scream because it was over. A very bad ending. Just disgusting. Ugh... I am not pleased. Just kill me already!!!!!!!

This book was also inappropriate. Like really, a Judy Blume Forever reference? Really? I hated how inappropriate it was. Absolutely grossed out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please don't read this book. It's not worth the buy.

Divergent, by Veronica Roth

Let me make something clear. I do NOT read sci-fi. Or dystopian. Got it? So I have no idea why I picked up Divergent (though I might have been convinced by the raving reviews...) and... I LOVED it! So much I've decided to add Four to my crush list! So much I've decided sci-fi (or dystopian) is actually okay! And for me, that's saying a lot...
So this can only mean one thing: 5 stars!!!!!! Out of five stars!!!!!!!

Where do I begin? Or rather, who do I begin with? These characters were absolutely awesome!! They were all so different, so unique, so well-constructed... and I loved it! Tris is different: you find something out about her in the beginning. That makes her choice very, very hard. When she finally is Dauntless, let's just say that she's strong. Very. And I like my protagonists that way! Best. Female. Protagonist. Ever! She's witty, stubborn and not letting anyone get away with bothering her.

And Four! I love you! I love you! Get the picture? He is so awesome! I absolutely love him! He's your mysterious broken boy, with a twist. The thing is, not only is he broken, but... he's serious. Ish. That's why the romance is slow, just the way I like it. The thing is, he protects Tris. Even if it ends up backfiring. So in other words, I basically read the story for Four! Well, maybe not...

Wow, Christina, you are such a bubbly character! You're the bestest (who cares if it's not a word) friend ever! Can you be my friend? I'll give you cookies!
Al, Peter, Will, and everyone else, you guys all are great characters, even if some of you are evil and everything, but hey, someone has to be the evil one. As long as it's not me...

This plot was awesome! So many twists! So many surprises! So worth ranting about! But... I'm not going to! Let's just say if I do, everything will be revealed! And I don't want that to happen! So all you need to know is that you will be gasping (for real!), smiling like a maniac (just like me!) and just going crazy! And that might not be a good thing...

Love this book!! It was written so well!!! And you need to read it!! That's all you need to do: read this book!!!! Best dystopian ever! And I mean it!

I don't know where to begin. So many things I want to say, yet I don't know how to put it. So many things I love, yet I can't prioritize. So many layers in this book, it makes me want them all. So many pages that I want to reread all at once.

Guess what? It's in a guy's POV!!!!!! It's in Ethan's! And that's just one more awesome thing to add to my bulging list! It's so cool how it's in a Mortal's POV. And it's even cooler cause it's in Ethan's! He is such a great protagonist. And such an awesome main character...

Of course there's Lena too! And no, I wasn't going to forget you...
Well, I wasn't planning to...
She is such a mindblowing girl! Stuborn, super, spellcasting... literally. And did I mention that she writes poetry? I just love what she writes! The pieces that Ethan mentions are so mysterious, so mystifying and altogether so cool! Absolutely love, love, love! Her or the poetry? How bout both?
I'm serious, she totally tops my list of female paranormals that could be amazing mortals.

The plot. Deserves to be ranted over. No, it's not bad...
It's the fact that it is so awesome! I mean it! You were solving more than two mysteries at once. There are about 5 main problems, and a million smaller ones! I absolutely love this wonderful storyline with countless twists and turns! I wish I could come up with such a plot! Need to rant even more!!! Let's just say once you start to get it, the authors just come up with another reason to make you doubt if you got it or not.
Not only that, it's a love story, paranormal epic, and just a totally awesome novel!!!!! With a plot! A great one! It's the best plot ever!

Not only that, it was such a gripping story, the way it's written. It made me sad, happy and... bipolar? Yes it did!!!! That's how great this book is. Just absolutely worth swooning over.

You must read this book! You must read this book! Now! It's a beautiful love story! Really! Just read this book! Please?

I love, absolutely love the writing style!!! Lisa McMann has this clear, concise style that made me go like this: NO fair!! I want to write like that!!!!!
And... it's just so unique, the way it's written. So refreshing!! I totally, totally loved it!! So, so awesomely nice!!!!!!!!!! :)

 

I just adore the characters!!!!!!!! Janie has this incredible ability... which has changed her for the better... I hope. She is the main protagonist... and I love her story!!!!!! And her boyfriend... but that's another story...
Cabel is awesome!! He's broken, so what's not to love? And he's good, so he's okay with me. Actually, he's more than okay, but just pretend you don't know that. In this book, Cabel has some problems that he has to overcome, but once he does that, I was like, "Yay Cabel and Janie!! You guys are an amazing couple!!" Swoon, swoon, swoon!

 

Oh... this plot. Wow... I was surprised, at that's just the mildest word I can use. I was actually more

• Mindblown
• Blown
• And Blown away...

... by the events!!!!!! I think this plot is awesome! I mean, what happens just starts to make you gasp! For real! I actually gasped out loud!!!! That's how great this plot is...

However, this book is for older readers. I mean, it's supposed to be. So please, judge carefully, and make a proper decision. It's a little, a lot, innappropriate so make a good decision! Nothing graphic though.

Anyways read this book!!!! Well, after you've read Wake. Then fall in love with the book, the trilogy and whatever else Lisa McMann related!!!

I'm reading Every Other Day, by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.

And... it is absolutely hilarious!!! I love it! I mean, the book actually had me laughing out loud, not just smiling. So this book has skill!!! And it is written beautifully!!!!!!

So this book is marvelous!!!! And fantastic!!!! (Notice I'm trying to use big, nice words!)
