Waiting on Wednesday: Second Chance Summer

"Waiting on Wednesday" is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine. It spotlights upcoming releases that we absolutely can not wait for and will do anything just to read it now. Anyways, this week's book to pre-order today is Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson!

Second Chance Summer by Morgan Matson
Publishing 5.8.12!
Summary from Goodreads: Taylor's family might not be the closest-knit – everyone is a little too busy and overscheduled – but for the most part, they get along fine. Then Taylor's dad gets devastating news that changes everything. Her parents decide that the family will spend the summer together at their old vacation home in the Pocono Mountains.

Crammed into a place much smaller and more rustic than they are used to, they begin to get to know each other again. And Taylor discovers that the people she thought she had left behind haven’t actually gone anywhere. Her former summer best friend is still around, as is her first boyfriend. . . and he's much cuter at seventeen than he was at twelve.

As the summer progresses, the Edwards become more of a family, and closer than they’ve ever been before. But all of them are very aware that they’re battling a ticking clock. Sometimes, though, there is just enough time to get a second chance – with family, with friends, and with love.

I've been getting into a chick-lit phase lately (yes, it's seriously called chick-lit)... and so that's why I've been rereading my Sarah Dessen books and all the other chick-lit books I own. But it gets kind of boring after a while, and I've really wanted to add some new books to my amazing-chick-lit-books list.

So I found Second Chance Summer. I don't know about you, but I love this idea of becoming more of a family. I like the idea of bonding through time and all. And then there was the guy...
I seriously have not read a chick-lit book without a guy. So I'm happy there's a guy in Second Chance Summer!

Absolutely can not wait. Breathe, Valerie, breathe. BREATHE!
